Fighters

Fighter recruitment requirements

The first four fighter slots unlock at population 1, 3, 7 and 10. Their standard recruitment costs are 3, 4, 6 and 8 stamina.

Population requirements

The first fighter unlocks at population 1. Further slots unlock at population 3, 7 and 10. At population 4, two slots are available.

Open the settlement overview and select Train Fighter to see the current recruitment condition and stamina cost. Starting traits, campaign progress and scenario rules can affect recruitment.

Reposition and heal fighters

Drag a fighter to another area to move it. The destination must be free of another fighter. Injured fighters recover in claimed territory.

To draw zombies out of an infestation, move a fighter into an adjacent area and use Taunt. Position supporting fighters before starting the battle. The infested area still needs to be cleansed afterward.

Strength upgrades and cleansing

Technology 3 improves fighter strength. Recruitment still requires the population threshold for the next slot. Check Barracks and other upgrades for their individual effects.

A fighter can cleanse an infested area while out of combat. Cleansing provokes resistance, so allow time to restore the unit’s health before beginning.
